Final Cut Comparison #2
I Know What You Did Last Summer Opening Sequence For my second comparison I chose "I Know What You Did Last Summer" because of how similar the plot and accident scene was to our film. For instance when the accident happens they all feel guilt but choose to not do the right thing and brush it aside like nothing happened and pay the price for it. This is exactly what the main character did in our film after getting his friend killed, he pretends to do the right thing and be sad as if that would resolve the problem but ends up being haunted for his actions. However what was different is both the group setting and the way the haunting occurs. They take a much different and physical approach which would have been harder for us due to lack of resources where as we chose to do do the phone call approach to set the tone for the rest of the film. Overall our sequences are very similar and both try to appeal to emotion so the audience understands why this is happening.
