Media Reflection #5

 Throughout our film we tried to take into account the people who would actually enjoy this film, since we have a more light-hearted approach already we tried to avoid showing any on-screen deaths or more violent attacks. Honestly it was relatively easy to try and be respectful towards the type of people who consume this type of content, we just simply took proper measures to ensure that nothing over the top or crazy unrealistic was done. My consumption habits have been changed especially towards individual projects, because I now understand the time and effort put into those works, especially on a low budget. An example of how they have been changed is by the fact in the past if I saw a low budget film I would typically stay clear of them regardless of the topic, however now I would go see something if the topic peaks my interest just so I can get a better understanding while supporting the goal. This is important because it entertains me while also being informative. My skills as a filmmaker have improved but not a lot, they have improved through experience and practice of editing but that has not been my particular role in the group so I can only step in when needed. My relation with media has been shaped more than ever because I have realized the effort being put forth into the films. This is for both large scale films and small scale because in the end they all have a similar goal. It has been a great learning experience being able to work on the project because it helped me develop editing skills on multiple different apps. What was nice about that was each app had different difficulty levels with some being much more difficult than others allowing me to work out problems and helped me brush on my cross referencing skills. This is a beneficial skill to have but also is what made me appreciate the work of other films and film makers. It was a very long process but the end result feels worth it because regardless of how it actually is it felt good to finish a large scale school project like this. Overall everything went as well as possible despite the hiccups we had here and there
