She's all That
Gender problems presented in the trailer are the common tropes associated with popular girls cheating and trying to maintain/gain popularity shown through the girlfriend leaving her boyfriend for a reality star. On top of this the common trope of the popular girl picking on the "nerdy girl" and the popular boy not wanting to be seen with an unpopular girl. These tropes are displayed in every typical high school movie and are also sometime displayed in high school in the real life that set unfair roles or titles on people who don't deserve them. Often times these tropes are over exaggerated but in some regard they an relate to high school life. The problem of the popular boy only going after the "nerdy" girl as a dare is somewhat resolved at the end when it's revealed that he might actually have feelings for her once he gets to know her. I think that film should have that responsibility if its going to try and base their film around something similar to that on top of that most films that rated highly with similar themes have very good representation. Overall the movies tropes seen in the trailer are problems that are seen throughout most high school films with probably a basic level of representation. This film feels like is trying to a good service by representing a common problem but fails to acknowledge every problem they create which makes the film appear worse in that aspect.
